These people donated prizes that were raffled off today at the conclusion of our two-day raffle in New Martinsville as part of the vintage regatta weekend, despite there being no regatta!

The remaining donated prizes, and some additional ones, to be sure, will be set up at a later date and location TBA in the Wheeling area to raise funds for Easterseals’ mission of creating life-changing solutions for children with developmental delays and disabilities in the Ohio Valley, regardless of the family’s ability to pay.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets this weekend! We will hold your tickets till we complete the raffle and draw all the winners.

We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the New Martinsville Vintage Regatta committee and all the boaters who, despite their disappointment of having to cancel because of river conditions, are still assisting and supporting Easterseals with its fundraiser to help children with disabilities. These are stellar individuals who work hard and have big hearts. They purchased a large tent for our raffle, rented tables and chairs, helped us load and unload baskets, helped store baskets overnight, donated to the raffle, bought tickets, and generally bent over backwards to help us.

See you down by the river today for the raffle, the car cruise-in, and the kids zone! We will be drawing the winning tickets today between 1 and 2 pm for the Hometown Favorites gift card prize (Stalder’s, Riesbeck’s, Kraken Records, Barth Florist, Jalapeños, Barista’s, Domino’s, Original PJ’s Pizza) the Date Night in Wheeling prize (Wheeling Symphony tickets, Vagabond Kitchen gift card, one night hotel stay), and the Vintage Regatta T-shirt, hoodie, and Dos Hermanos gift card. Get there by 1 to ensure you’re in the drawing.

25 tickets for $10. There are many other prizes that will be drawn at a later date.

It is with great regret that I post to inform you that the 9th annual New Martinsville Vintage Regatta will not be having any boats hit the water this year…. The committee has made the hard decision to veer on the side of safety and cancel the races for both days due to high water, fast current, and large debris floating down the Ohio River…

While the races are cancelled we still encourage you to come check out the kids fun zone which is up and running, as well as the arts walk on Main Street, the Easterseals basket raffle, and the car cruise in that has been postponed until tomorrow.

The Fair Board invited us to help create a more sensory-friendly experience at the Belmont County Fair and we couldn't be more excited! New partnership. New friends. New ways to make the fair welcoming for people of all abilities. Fair opens on Monday!

OKAY! Let’s go! Our Easterseals raffle is set up this afternoon at the Downtown New Martinsville Art Walk across from Riesbeck’s on North Street! Will be here till 4, and we will be back down by Dos Hermanos for the Car Cruise-in and Kids Zone tomorrow from 11-?

NOTE: These raffle items, plus more, also will be set up at a later date and time TBA in the Wheeling area. A few local gift cards and regatta items will be drawn this weekend, but the rest will go back to Wheeling and winners be drawn later.

UPDATE: Stay tuned for our raffle plans as the New Martinsville Vintage Regatta committee meets soon to determine whether any boats will run this weekend at all. The boats cannot run today, but we were still planning to set up now that the rain has stopped. However, if they decide not to run tomorrow, we likely will reschedule the raffle. If they decide to run tomorrow, we will be set up here both days as planned.

🙏👏Special thanks to a very special woman, Pam Puglisi, and her family for supporting Easterseals year after year with dozens upon dozens of raffle baskets. 🎟️Come down to the river near Dos Hermanos from 10-5 Saturday and Sunday to see what she has put together for the New Martinsville Vintage Regatta! She works tirelessly all year to purchase and assemble these wonderful prizes for our raffles that raise money for our nonprofit mission to provide life-changing solutions for children in the Ohio Valley! Come see and hear the vintage boats on dry land tomorrow (darn rain) and take your chances at our basket raffle! Prizes include character-themed items, WVU merch, purses and jewelry, grilling essentials, gift cards, lottery tickets and a YETI Roadie cooler that retails for $375! 25 tickets for $10, plus a 50/50! Proceeds benefit children with disabilities in the Ohio Valley. 🧡🙏🏻👏🏻We will be located under a big tent on Main across from Dos Hermanos!

Are you ready to rumble and raffle? Let's go! Easterseals is ready for the New Martinsville Vintage Regatta Labor Day weekend!!! We have over 40 awesome raffle prizes, including this Yeti cooler and Cabela's stainless camping grill. The event will have about 40 boats roaring up and down the river.
