Please join the strings department On Wednesday, September 9th from 5:30pm-8pm in the Wheeling Park high school cafeteria. All students entering 4th-12th grade and new students (in any grade) who want to take strings this year can try out all the instruments and be fitted by a teacher.

You can order your child’s preferred size and set up payments with a CA House representative that night. This is a great way to get to know the program and acquire all that you need in one place. Info is attached along with some common questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and contact any of your strings teachers and we will see everyone in 2 weeks!

Tonight is our first meeting of the new school year. Everyone with a string’s student is welcome to attend. We will meet at 6:30pm in the strings room at WPHS. We hope to see you there.

Our second week of summer camp was a blast. We leaned in more to bluegrass styles and tunes this time around and my goodness did the kids crush it. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this week possible. Please enjoy the rest of your summer and we’ll see you in August!

Don’t forget our second round of strings camp starts this week. Performances are happening Thursday evening and this Friday, 7/10 throughout the community. For the morning group, doors will open at 8:50am and 12:50pm for the afternoon group. See you tomorrow!

We had an incredible first week of strings camp. Tons of fun, music making and growing together as musicians. The students also put on a stellar concert Thursday evening. Thank you to all who attended and made this camp successful. We will hopefully see everyone for our second week of OCS strings camp on July 6!

Don’t forget! Tomorrow begins our first week of OCS strings camp. The elementary group starts at 9am with doors opening at 8:50am. The middle and high school group starts at 1pm with doors opening at 12:50pm. Signs will be posted, but please enter through the strings room by the PAC for all groups. See you soon!

Plenty of fun to be had at the strings banquet yesterday. Thank you to all the students for a wonderful year and have a great summer! We will see you at our first round of strings camp June 22!

Shout out to Luke Perry, Kelsey Tyburski, and Sydney Crow. They performed in the WSO side by side concert Friday night. Way to go guys and we thank you for your hard work, time, and representation!
