We’re shining the spotlight on Miss Stella and Mrs. White, two incredible members of our WCDS faculty!

Their dedication, creativity, and care help make learning meaningful and memorable for our students each day. From encouraging independence to inspiring curiosity and confidence, they are making a difference in the lives of our 4th graders and beyond.

Our 5th graders are getting their feet wet with a Deep Dive that takes learning far beyond the classroom! Over the next 6–8 weeks, students will study our creek through hands-on water testing, wildlife observation, and close exploration of the ecosystem right here on campus.

Around here, we believe in joy, community, and showing up for one another. And sometimes, showing up looks like handing your Head of School a microphone. 🎤✨

Mrs. Birch is taking the stage for the A Special Wish Lip Sync Challenge on October 24th at the Capitol Theatre, all to help grant wishes for local children and families.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Mr. Joe!

As our Learning on Location coordinator and a key supporter of Deep Dive projects, Mr. Joe helps our students take their learning beyond the classroom and into the real world. From hands-on adventures to curiosity-driven projects, he brings learning to life in ways our students won’t soon forget.

We’re so grateful for the energy, creativity, and enthusiasm he brings to WCDS every day!

We are incredibly grateful to the Ann Sonneborn Foundation for its generous support of Wheeling Country Day School and our greater community.

This year, the Foundation awarded nearly $1.5 million to local organizations working to improve the lives of women and children throughout the Upper Ohio Valley.
