First Fire Training Facility Elevating Emergency Response in Central America 🔥🚒

SETSET Environmental supports the Fire Service International program, through Hearts in Motion, which helped build a brand new firefighting training facility in Guatemala City, which is the first of its kind in Central America!

The facility is a three-story fire tower training hub for firefighters, Bomberos Voluntarios GT, and emergency medical services personnel (EMS). This is Central America's only fire tower training facility that will provide training to 136 fire departments, equipping first responders with essential skills and resources to serve over 16 million people! The facility will provide advanced, hands-on training in firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency response, elevating safety standards and preparedness across the region.

This Facial Protection Month, we’re highlighting the importance of proper PPE in protecting our team members from preventable injuries. Whether it’s face shields, goggles, or respirators, the right protection helps keep our crews focused, confident, and safe while doing critical environmental work.

According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), up to 90% of work-related eye injuries can be prevented with proper eye and face protection. From face shields and goggles to respirators, choosing the right protection helps reduce risk and keep teams safe on the job.

💙SET Engineering giving back, together.

The SET Engineering Morris office was proud to sponsor and lend a helping hand at a recent community meal, with our team supporting both meal prep on Sunday and serving on Monday evening.

This week’s meal was a traditional Lenten dish, Tortitas de Camarón con Nopales — shrimp patties in a chili sauce with cactus — thoughtfully prepared and shared with our community.

Today, we’re proud to recognize Angel Camacho for an incredible 15 years of dedicated service with SET Environmental!

Angel serves as an Inside Sales Representative, where his impact is felt every day through his work preparing project estimates, managing MBE/WBE reporting and contract compliance, supporting project management efforts, handling waste reporting, and assisting with permit applications. His attention to detail and commitment to doing things right play a critical role in helping our projects—and our clients—succeed.

When asked what he loves most about working at SET, Angel put it best: “You are part of the SET family when you work here.” He values the positivity, encouragement, and strong focus on philanthropy that SET is known for, and believes these qualities are what truly set the company apart.
