The Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation

We fund the cancer researchers working towards a cure because research is our best hope. What is translational cancer research?

Nearly half of all men and one-third of women in the United States will develop cancer during their lifetime. Sometimes described as a "bench-to-bedside" approach, translational research applies the knowledge gained from basic science research in the laboratory to develop new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. The Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation will provide the philanthropic suppo

rt to fund interdisciplinary research teams at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, empowering their world-class investigators to join forces and address the most urgent questions in the fields of cancer biology and oncology in daring and innovative ways. By investing in research, with an emphasis on translational cancer research, the HCRF will accelerate and heighten the impact of scientific discoveries. The Lurie Cancer Center, one of only 49 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation, is recognized internationally as a leader in innovative research, state-of-the-art cancer care, training and education for the next generation of clinicians and scientists, and community outreach.

Presented by the HCRF European Advisory Board, marking its official launch, this evening brings together a global community in support of bold, “think outside the box” cancer research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University — funding innovative, early stage discoveries that have the potential to change the future of treatment across all types of cancer.

As we prepare for our first HCRF event in Greece, we are proud to highlight the extraordinary work taking place across the Atlantic and to collaborate with distinguished doctors both in the U.S. and Greece as part of this shared mission.

Today we celebrate someone truly exceptional and extraordinary—one of our founding board members, Danielle🎂🎂

Happy, blessed birthday to a woman whose heart is filled with unmatched compassion, generosity, and empathy. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the depth of her kindness and compassion, especially in the way she tirelessly supports, fundraises and uplifts those affected by cancer. Her dedication goes far beyond generosity.

Danielle has been a powerful voice, advocating and making a meaningful impact in cancer research.
