Sarah’s on Main

For the last eight years, Sarah's on Main has become a beloved fixture in our community, serving up sweetness from the early hours of morning until mid afternoon . Dishing up many different treats from charming croissants to superb salads, Sarah's On Main delights customers with true Wheeling delicacy. Officially opened in 2018, Wheeling Park High School Alumni and Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce member, owner Sarah Lydick, has claimed her spot as a fan favorite business owner in our city.
While Sarah's on Main brings Wheeling pastries of pure decadence, what truly sets the restaurant apart is the feeling. The inspiration behind the business came from not only craving delicious food, but craving somewhere surrounded by love.
¨We wanted to make a place where friends could gather around quality, made from scratch food, and we wanted to create a great place to work!" said owner, Sarah Lydick.
Sarah's journey to entrepreneurship wasn't always clear, but as a student at Wheeling Park, she took every opportunity she had to find her true calling, ¨Honestly, I had no idea what I wanted to do for a living in high school. So as a student at Park I appreciated all the opportunities there were, and are to try new classes to help get a sense of what you loved and were good at!¨ stated Lydick.
In the Ohio Valley, it's common to find many small businesses who are a part of The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce, a local organization that dedicates its time to grow and advance small businesses all around the city.
¨I joined the Chamber to be part of Wheeling's business community," said Sarah Lydick.
Small businesses all around Wheeling prove that no matter where you are, you have a chance to achieve your dream. Success isn't measured by the population of your town, but by the amount of support around you, and Wheeling never fails to bring that.
"I would tell other entrepreneurs that the Wheeling community has been really supportive of us from the very beginning and continues to show up for us all the time,¨ stated Sarah. ¨[Wheeling´s] a great place to work and do business,¨ finished Sarah.
