3 Years of Inclusion on the Ice!

​Our Laborers Rising members from Laborers Local 1149 were back at it again this weekend, volunteering for our third year at Inclusion On Ice.

​Our members were on the move, helping participants on and off the rink, assisting with specialized enculsive equipment, and making sure everyone, regardless of ability, got their turn to shine on the ice. We are so grateful for the opportunity to help make the ice accessible to everyone in our community.

A huge congratulations to our friends, the Ohio County Eagles Special Olympics, on their hard-earned win today! We gave it our all on the court, but the Eagles showed why they're the team to beat this year.

​Local 1149 is proud to share the court with such a talented and spirited group of athletes. We’ll be rooting for you every step of the way.

Members of the Upper Ohio Valley Building and Construction Trades visited the Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling to drop off donations totaling $6,000. The UOVBTC donated $1,500, while the Operating Engineers Local 132 donated $500, the Iron Workers Local 549 donated $1,000, the Plumbers and Steamfitt...

Turkey Day 2025:

We would like to thank all of our members who participated in Turkey Day, and further extend that gratitude to those who volunteered to come out early and set up the event.

Turkey Day is a great opportunity to keep your drug card current, check up on your health, pick up a turkey for Thanksgiving and reconnect with friends.

It also gives us an opportunity to give back to our community. Any excess turkeys are given to the The Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling, Inc. and families in need.
