October 14-20 is National Braille Week.

Braille is more than a way to read and write. It is a powerful tool for independence, education, opportunity, and connection.

This National Braille Week, we celebrate the importance of Braille literacy and the opportunities it creates for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

🔹 At the Seeing Hand Association, we help individuals who are blind learn to read and write Braille, providing essential skills that promote literacy and independence.
🔹 While audio technology offers valuable accessibility, Braille allows individuals to develop a deeper understanding of spelling, punctuation, and grammar through reading and writing.

A white cane is more than a mobility tool. 🦯 It is a symbol of independence, confidence, and freedom.

Today, on White Cane Awareness Day, we recognize the importance of the white cane in helping individuals who are blind or visually impaired navigate the world safely and independently. White Cane Awareness Day also reminds us of the importance of accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all.

At the Seeing Hand Association, we are proud to support individuals who are blind or visually impaired by providing opportunities for meaningful employment, personal growth, and greater independence.
