YPR advocates for policies and programs that provide access to the resources necessary to help young people achieve and maintain recovery from addiction. YPR believes that access to treatment, education, employment, and quality housing will maximize the opportunities available for young people in recovery to become productive members of society, and help them sustain their recovery. YPR has outlin

ed four areas in which improved resources are needed for young people in recovery: Access to treatment Educational opportunities, Secure, quality housing, and Employment opportunities. YPR educates young people in recovery, policy makers, and the public about the benefits of improved recovery-related resources for young people YPR believes that by creating a network of young people in recovery, we remove the stigma associated with addiction, and increase the awareness that young people can and do recover from addiction. YPR conducts leadership development training for young people in recovery to help communities identify and advocate for recovery resources at the local, state, and national levels. YPR collaborates with people, communities, organizations, and policy makers to develop sound policies and programs to encourage young people in recovery to become productive, tax-paying members of society. YPR recognizes that institutional change requires the cooperation and support of as many people as possible. Additionally, YPR understands that by creating partnerships with like-minded organizations or individuals, we will reach our goals more efficiently.

SUPPLIES NEEDED! Recovery Point West Virginia "clients are busy working everyday in classes, jobs in our facilities, or attending meetings. Here are some photos of our Huntington clients at work in life skills class and with their graduation certificates. Currently, our women's program in Charleston is in need of backpacks, notebooks, pens, and pencils as they are nearing 60(!!!) clients soon. All of our programs consistently need these supplies. Donations may be brought to the Huntington office at 900 20th Street or directly to the women's facility at 501 Stockton Street in Charleston. Thank you for your support!"
