Family caregivers invest countless hours tending to the needs of seniors, especially those facing challenges such as dementia or Alzheimer’s. Yet, amidst these obligations, caregivers also need time for themselves—whether to run errands, attend appointments, manage household tasks, or simply rest and recharge.
Pleasants County Senior Center understands the unique needs of both caregivers and their loved ones. That’s why we are proud to introduce our Adult Day Program, designed specifically for seniors aged 60 and above.
What We Offer
Trained Staff Specializing in Alzheimer’s and Dementia:
Our team is dedicated and equipped to support seniors living with memory-related conditions, ensuring attentive and compassionate care.
Personalized Activities:
Every day is filled with engaging and fun activities, tailored to the interests and abilities of our participants. Whether it’s group games, creative arts, or gentle exercise, we foster joy and connection.
Exciting Field Trips:
We regularly organize safe outings, providing new experiences and treasured memories for all who join.
Nutritious Meals & Snacks:
We provide balanced meals and snacks throughout the day to keep everyone energized and satisfied.
Transportation Services:
Convenient transportation to and from our center (within West Virginia) makes participation easy and stress-free for families.
Special Funding:
Seniors with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s may qualify for special funding, making our program more accessible.
Private Pay Option:
For those who do not qualify for funding, we also offer a private pay option to accommodate different financial situations.

Scope of Services
It’s important to note that we are a social and recreational day care program, not a licensed medical daycare facility. We do not administer medication, and there is no medical staff on site. Our focus is on social engagement, recreation, and overall well-being.
