What if pain could become something you can identify, explore, and work with—not simply something happening to you?
Join Dr. Dawn for the Pain Integration Experience, or PIE: a free, guided community class offering a simple, embodied technique you can continue using on your own.
Using your own hands, along with focused attention, breath, movement, position, visualization, color, and sound, you’ll learn to:
* More clearly identify and describe where pain is and what it feels like
* Explore its boundaries, intensity and changing qualities
* Engage the experience in new ways rather than automatically resisting it
* Discover greater choice, participation and resourcefulness in how you respond
As the experience becomes more clearly felt and integrated, people often notice that it changes, shifts, or diminishes. Participants also report leaving with practical tools—and feeling better equipped and more confident in working with pain if and when it arises.
Dr. Dawn will first guide one or two willing volunteers through the process while the group observes. Everyone will then have an opportunity to practice the technique simultaneously as Dr. Dawn guides the class.
“After doing the PIE process, I had a reduction in pain. Possibly one of the best tools in my toolbox.”
