African Outreach Ministries created a ministry called "Themba Le’ Ntandane" (Hope for the Orphan) in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, to assist children who have lost one or both of their parents to the Aids epidemic. Hope4TheOrphan - Themba helps those children who are living within their extended family, usually with an elderly grandmother, who are unable to care for the children on their own. We carefully r
eview children in need to invite into the program, then takes on the responsibility to assist them physically, emotionally and spiritually. The program provides financial aid to pay for school uniforms and fees, as well as provide food packets and medical assistance for the families, when needed. Sponsorship starts with a one-year commitment. As a sponsor you will receive a biography and picture of your child. Twice a year you will receive a letter and have the opportunity to respond to him/her. Updates and reports are sent to you via email. Sponsors play an important role in the life of the children as they pray for and correspond with them.
