Patriot Day – September 11th
Today, we pause to honor the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the strength of a nation that stood united in the face of tragedy. ❤️🤍💙

May we never forget the sacrifices made, the resilience shown, and the reminder that even in our darkest hours, unity and love shine brightest.

The countdown is on to the 250th anniversary of the war for independence!
To commemorate the occasion, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Battlefield Trust have collaborated to bring a special traveling exhibit, the American Revolution Experience, to towns across our nation.

The innovative pop-up exhibition includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology and unique artifacts and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.

The venue will be the DuPage County Historical Museum in Wheaton. The event is open to the public and you are welcome to visit any time the museum is open.

Attention Perrin-Wheaton Chapter members:

Hope you all have had a good summer, as we are on the downside of summer!

We will be emailing the 2025-2026 dues notice this week so please look for it and let us know if you do not receive it. We have raised the dues to slightly due to the national raising their dues.

The DuPage County Historical Society on Wesley in Wheaton will have the American Experience Traveling Exhibit the last two weeks in August. It is regarding the Revolutionary War. Please keep it in mind and go see it. I think there may be a DAR evening, and I will let you know when it is.

Our first 2025-2026 meeting will be September 22, 2025 at 6:45 for social time and treats and meeting to begin at 7:00 pm at the Wheaton library.

Have a good rest of the summer and see you all in the fall.
Please remember to send in your dues payment as soon as possible.
