“I am convinced that one of the major reasons we are here is for the Soul and therefore for the Gods to see, feel, hear and experience creation in all its forms through us.”

He who enters the Path can neither remain where he is nor afford to lose his balance, but is like one who attempts to walk on the edge of a sword.

There is so much love, and still the machine, in its unfinished state and ignorance, thrashes about in unyielding willfulness and stubbornness, demanding its place and imposing its conditions like a tramp imposing itself on a royal king who loves it anyway. It would be crazy to lose it over just one thing.

We have to hold onto it (Love) no matter what! I am also seeing how much and to what extent people privately suffer. I guess we are all silent sufferers.

This is the first in a series of collected meetings of students committed to the process of soul awakening. The wisdom shared and ideas exchanged are presented in a sincere, accessible, and conversational manner that inspires the reader to contemplate universal truths and explore the interior states of presence and love. As members of The Academy of European Arts and Culture, a Fourth Way School of esoteric philosophy founded by Mervyn Brady, students engage in rich discussions and practices that encourage the art of Remembering the Soul.

Aim becomes the inspiration.
One becomes filled with the Spirit
to work towards the Aim.
There is real joy and Love,
the Eros of the path,
when one is filled with the desire
and energy of the Aim.
If we view everything we do in our life
as Being in Service to our Aim
then it is much easier to Walk the Path.

I Knew I Had Been Changed
by Mervyn Brady

There was no Thunder and Lightning, Just a day-to-day struggle to remain sane and together. Something strange was happening—I had to self-remember or go crazy. Everything only made sense in my life if I was present. Self-remembering became self-preservation...

I had been a spectator of everything and nothing. The great Wise Silence had visited me again, and I knew I had been changed. One is always different when one returns.

Hidden from all eyes and ears,
let's speak from the soul.

Smile like a rose without lips
and remain silent like a thought.

I cannot pretend to be a lion
capable of conquering the enemy.
To master myself would be enough.

I am only dust on the path of my lover,
and from the dust I will rise
and become a flower.

I will rise like a flame from the fire
of love and become infinite like him.

I have realized recently that it is in moments of letting go of my own woes and concerns
that I can let love become the master again. It seems that as I do this, a wellspring of affection and understanding opens to all around me, and the triad changes so surprisingly,
flooding me with energy.
