Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island is a proud member of the Sunrise Association, whose mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings worldwide. Sunrise accomplishes this through the creation and oversight of welcoming, inclusive summer day camps, year-round programs and in-hospital recreational programs, all offered free of charge. Fun Is Mandatory
Sunrise is children just being children - having fun playing and laughing together. We want every child, even if they can attend for only a day, to have the best day ever! Inclusivity and Diversity
Sunrise is a world-wide organization made up of people from every walk of life who recognize and embrace the unique journey of each child. Sunrise actively seeks to create inclusive communities – whether at camp or in the hospitals – that celebrate diversity and equity among all children and staff while respecting both the differences and the commonalities that bind us together as a human family. Summer House star Jesse Solomon is joining us at SunriseWALKS Long Island on Sunday, June 14.

Jesse volunteered with Sunrise this past season, and now he's walking with our community to help kids with cancer and their siblings enjoy a full summer of camp, completely free of charge.

There's still time to be part of the day. Come walk with us, cheer him on, and help send more kids to camp this summer.

A heartfelt thank you to Brian and Katherine Boder, the entire Boder family, J.T. Urraro, Marc Eisenshtat, Northwestern Mutual, and everyone who attended and supported this year’s annual Co****le for Cancer event.

Year after year, this special event brings together an amazing community of friends and family for a little friendly competition that has grown into something so much bigger; a powerful reminder of what can happen when people unite to support children with cancer and their siblings.

Because of your generosity, more Sunrise children will spend their summer making friends, trying new adventures, building confidence, and simply experiencing the joy of being a kid. More families will find a community that understands them. More memories will be made that continue to last far beyond camp.

Last Thursday evening's Fourth Annual Sips for Sunrise was an incredible evening of community, generosity, and hope.

Hosted by the Blick Family and a dedicated committee of Sunrise supporters, the event brought together more than 125 guests at Cold Spring Country Club and raised more than $65,000 to help bring the joys of childhood back to children with cancer and their siblings.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Blick Family, the event committee, everyone who donated, and every guest who helped make the evening such a success. Because of your generosity, more children impacted by pediatric cancer will experience the magic of Sunrise, where they can enjoy the simple joys of childhood, build lasting friendships, and create treasured summer memories, all completely free of charge.

And the magic continues! Join us at SunriseWALKS Long Island on Sunday, June 14 for a morning of music, games, community, and celebration at the Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island campgrounds.
