💙🏥 Thank You to our November 20 Speaker – Patience Boudreaux, Adventist Health Foundation!

We had the pleasure of hearing from Patience Boudreaux who shared powerful updates on the innovative advancements shaping healthcare right here in Yuba County. She walked us through several major investments making a real difference for local families, including:

🤖 New robotics-assisted surgical tools that are improving precision, reducing recovery time, and elevating the patient experience.

🧠 Advanced stroke technology powered by AI, enabling faster diagnosis and life-saving interventions — because in a stroke emergency, every second truly counts.

💗 Expanded women’s imaging and biopsy services, offering earlier detection and more accurate diagnostics to support the long-term health of women in our region.

🎓 Scholarships for Yuba County students pursuing healthcare careers — helping grow a strong, local workforce that will care for our community for years to come.

We’re especially proud to highlight our deepening partnership with Adventist Health — they are our 2025 Title Sponsor of our Annual Plumas Lake Block Party, helping us bring thousands of families together each year for connection, health education, and community fun. Their support strengthens our ability to serve — and reflects their commitment to the well-being of Yuba County residents beyond the hospital walls.

Thank you, Patience, for an inspiring and informative presentation — and for all the ways Adventist Health Foundation continues to elevate care and opportunity for Yuba County families. 💙💛

🏈💙 Celebrating Our Local Flag Football Champions! 💛🏆

What an exciting day out on the field on November 16!

South Yuba County Sunrise Rotary was proud to sponsor Hegemony HOPE Foundation’s season of flag football.

Rotarian Michael Williamson has poured incredible work into our local flag football program — which continues to grow and make a huge impact in our community. 🙌

📸 The first photo captures President Sonya Harris, amazing volunteers, and a very special plate of championship rings!

📸 The second shows Sonya, Michael, and one of this season’s Super Bowl–winning teams. We had the honor of presenting rings to as a program sponsor. These kids worked hard all season and earned every bit of that celebration!

📸 And the final photo features all three championship teams, standing proud after a season of teamwork, hustle, and heart.

Hegemony Sports is doing incredible work for local youth — keeping kids active, healthy, engaged, and connected. Programs like this build confidence, teach leadership, and strengthen our sense of community.

Rotary is grateful to support partners who help our young people grow on and off the field. 💙💛

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and families on an amazing season! 🏆🎉

On November 14, 2025, we had an informative session with Alex Rodriguez, Program Manager with Yuba County Health & Human Services, who walked us through the county’s Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). 🏥📊

CHIP is a long-term, countywide strategy to improve health outcomes for local families. There is a specific focus on our local parks and increasing usage.

Did you know Yuba County is focusing on key priorities like behavioral health access, healthy living, and stronger community partnerships?

Thank you, Alex, for your dedication to improving the well-being of our region!

On November 6, 2025, we had a full and fantastic morning at South Yuba County Sunrise Rotary with three amazing speakers! 💛🌟

🍞 We kicked things off with our Local Business Spotlight featuring Kelly Trudell of Sutter Buttes Artisan Sourdough — and yes, she brought incredible samples for the club to enjoy!

Kelly shared her story as a small business owner and artisan baker, reminding us how local entrepreneurs fuel community pride and economic strength. Thank you, Kelly, for sharing your craft (and your bread!) with us.

🎓 Next, we heard from CSU Chico student Komal Aslanian, who delivered a thoughtful student presentation about her civic engagement project — sharing the importance leaves have on our environment and climate. 🍁🍂

🌍 We closed the morning with our primary speaker, Tabithia Sparks, who gave a powerful presentation on The Rotary Foundation.

Did you know The Rotary Foundation has invested over $4 billion into projects that promote peace, fight disease, support education, and build stronger communities worldwide?

Tabithia reminded us how every contribution—big or small—helps Rotary create lasting, meaningful change across the globe.

Thank you Kelly, Komal, and Tabithia for an uplifting and energizing program! 💙💛

Last but not least, Megan helped us with two special presentations:

AND

💵 A cash prize for Aaron Cask for taking best dressed at our Halloween Costume Contest. 🎃👻

On October 9, 2025, we had an inspiring morning learning about the Yuba River Endowment with Mike Filice and our very own Rotarian, Kelly McNally! 💧🌲

The Yuba River is one of our region’s most important natural treasures—and the Endowment is helping protect it for generations to come. And the Endowments incredible contributions back to our community.

Did you know? The Yuba Watershed supplies water to more than 260,000 acres of farmland and supports critical wildlife habitats.

Thank you, Mike and Kelly, for your leadership and passion!
