Change of plans...it's thunder lightening and the rain is starting in glendo. The arena is wet, muddy and slick so we are cancelling the fun day.

Its Sunday! Time for the Fun Day! Queen contest starts at noon, fun events at 1. We've got walking tacos for after we've had all the fun we can handle. See you at the Glendo rodeo grounds.

We are still having the show and gymkhana this weekend. With the Agriplex being used for fire deployment, we have been told that we can ONLY use the east entrance near the airport to enter the fairgrounds. There is increased vehicle traffic on the west side of the fairgrounds and the gate from the west parking lot is blocked off. There is also increased vehicle, plane and helicopter traffic at the airport. Please make sure you are paying attention when in the area and give way to any first responders.

Remember this is the last show so if you have only come twice this summer, this is your last chance to qualify for year end prizes.

The Fun Day is scheduled for next Sunday at the Glendo Fairgrounds. Fun events begin at 1 p.m. PCHA will be providing a meal after the fun day. We hope you can join us to close out the 2026 Summer Series events.

If your child, between the ages of 9 and 18, wants to try out for PCHA Royalty, please let Kelly know, no later than Tuesday, September 15. PCHA Royalty is expected to represent PCHA at all PCHA events, unless prior engagements prohibit it, as well as attend other events such as parades, etc. If there is someone interested in trying out for PCHA Royalty, the contest will be held next Sunday, September 20, beginning at noon, at the Gledo Fairgrounds.

Hope to see you all this weekend.

Here are the details for the PCHA gymkhana to be held during the Platte County Fair. Hope to see many of you there!

PCHA will also be riding in the parade on August 1. If you want to ride with us, meet at the pool at 9 a.m. We will all ride to the start of the parade together. This year's fair theme is "Red, White and Blue. This Fair's for you" so please dress in red, white and blue.

Good luck to everyone participating in fair activities.
