The Pie Tin Bakery and Catering has their September Casual Cowboy Cuisine menu ready, and it's worth a look!

A few highlights include Philly steak mac and cheese, kraut burgers, crispy orange chicken, and bacon cheeseburger chowder, each one paired with a fresh side and a homemade dessert.

Pickup runs West Elementary at 4 PM, Libbey Elementary at 4:10, Wheatland Country Store parking lot at 4:20, and the Platte County Courthouse at 4:30.

If you haven’t been into Thrifty Foods Store lately, make a trip in and say HI to Mike!

Mr. Michael Montoya is pictured here at our most recent food show. Mike has been our long time Meat Department Manager and more recently Fresh Departments Manager. He was born and raised in Wheatland, but well-traveled around the continent. He has worked at the store for 19 years! We know Mike is an expert in meats, but he is an all-around foodie and loves sharing his knowledge. He is the guy to ask when you have a recipe or food question. Actually, he is full of fun facts and the more you get to know him, the more you realize he knows quite a bit about many things! He is a great trainer in the store and is well respected among the employees because of his wise yet easy going nature. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family. Mike makes Thrifty Foods what it is today, and we are so happy to have him as a major player on the team!
