What does it mean to support your community?

It can be simpler than you think.

You don't have to have all the answers to be a source of support. Sometimes, being willing to listen, learn, and show up is where change begins.

What is one way you can show up for your community this week?

50 years of Family Tree. Thousands of lives impacted.

As we celebrate 50 years of serving our community, we’re reflecting on the impact of Family Tree’s work during fiscal year 2025–2026:

💚6,400 people served through direct, in-person services
💚2,989 households supported
💚2,878 children and youth served, 61% of whom were under age 11
💚12,392 crisis and helpline calls answered

As Family Tree CEO Paolo Diaz reminds us:

“Each of these numbers represents much more than a service provided. They represent a child finding stability, a survivor reaching out for help, or a family taking another step toward safety and independence.”

Behind every number is a person, a family, or a child, and a community coming together to support them.

For 50 years, Family Tree has been here when our community needs us most. We’re grateful to everyone who has helped make this work possible!

Domestic violence, child abuse, and homelessness are deeply interconnected.

These are not isolated experiences. They often overlap, creating complex challenges that affect safety, stability, and a person’s ability to heal and thrive.

At Family Tree, we recognize that meaningful, lasting change comes from seeing the full picture. Through prevention, advocacy, shelter, housing, and supportive services, we walk alongside children, families, and individuals as they work toward safety, stability, and hope.

By understanding how these issues are connected, we can better support our neighbors and strengthen our community as a whole.

Learn. Share. Advocate. Together, we can create a safer future.

As backpacks are packed and classrooms fill, it's important to remember that every child deserves more than school supplies, they deserve to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

When children have stable relationships and caring adults in their lives, they're better equipped to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

At Family Tree, we're committed to helping children and families build the stability they need to thrive.

Every meaningful partnership starts with a shared commitment to making our community stronger. 💚

Marshall Street Landing is a testament to what’s possible when businesses invest in more than a cause, they invest in people. Through the support of corporate partners, Family Tree has helped create safe, stable housing where individuals and families can rebuild their lives and move toward independence.

Corporate engagement is more than giving back. It’s an opportunity to strengthen your team, invest in your community, and create real, lasting change.

Interested in partnering with Family Tree through volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, in-kind support, or other meaningful engagement? We’d love to connect.

Five years ago, Mary* was pregnant, unemployed, caring for an 18 month old daughter, and searching for help during one of the most difficult times in her life.

Through Family Tree, she found support, understanding, and the strength to build a safer future for herself and her children.

Today, Mary and her daughters are "safe, healthy, HAPPY!"

"We are not here on our own. I thank Family Tree for a lot."

As we celebrate 50 years of strengthening families, Mary's story reminds us that every family deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.

A friend can be the first step toward hope 💚

For someone experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, child abuse, or isolation, knowing there's one person who believes them can make all the difference.

This International Day of Friendship, we're celebrating the people who listen without judgment, offer encouragement, and remind others they don't have to face life's challenges alone.

Strong friendships help build stronger families and stronger communities!
