All Catholic women 18 years and older are invited to join in fellowship for one another, to support spirituality and to collectively assist the community.

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas. They donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.”

The CDA motto is “Unity and Charity.”

The CDA was formed over 100 years ago and today numbers 75,000 dues-paying members in 1,250 courts (local chapters) in 45 states across the country, and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands. Catholic Daughter women enjoy each others company at meetings and work hard for their parishes and communities. Deeply spiritual, together they share faith, love of God and a distinctly feminine spirituality alluded to by Pope John Paul II when he spoke of the necessity of “feminine genius” in today’s world. The program includes concerns of today’s church and society as well as issues that affect the well-being of women and children.

We were blessed to welcome 70 women from 10 parishes at St Jude Parish for the Catholic Daughters’ “Mary the Dawn” Women’s Retreat. It was a wonderful day of drawing closer to our Blessed Mother and her Son.

We were especially grateful for the incredible participation from our own Saints Peter and Paul community: 22 Catholic Daughters and 10 additional parishioners, for a total of 32 women from SPP!

Thank you to everyone who attended, served, and helped make this special day possible. May Mary, the Dawn who leads us to Christ, continue to guide us ever closer to her Son.

Our Lady, pray for us! 🙏

The Catholic Daughter's Women's Retreat on August 17th was a wonderful day. The Holy Spirit showed up in force! We had 39 women across several parishes participate. We dug deep into the the Three Theological Virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity as they pertained to the parable of The Prodigal Son. Huge thanks to Jim and Nance Thomas who provided beautiful music to enhance our time together with speakers Father Thuerauf, Mary Tappe, LouAnn Hultgren and Charmie Kirby.
