WOW what a final meeting yesterday!
🦅Stevens Elementary hosted and shared with us the upcoming student/family/community events like their biggest event of the year (BLOCK PARTY!!) on May 15th . We also met the new/old Family Engagement Liaison Ms. Anita and bid an honorable farewell to Ms. Sonia.
✍️City Council shared that they will continue to highlight youth achievement in designated meetings and are looking into starting a Youth Council due to the super smart Everitt students they met while there!!
🌳We heard about the Collaborations between Wheat Ridge Parks and Recreation and Rotary Club of Wheat Ridge, Colorado! Including all of Rotary's tree planting programs over the last month, including their last one due to happen on May16th and Olinger Crown Hill.
🤩Wheat Ridge Parks and Recreation also shared about summer events like Concerts @ the green (starting June 13th) and Movies in the Park (starting July 2nd) and the opportunities for PTAs to host fundraisers there.
❤️🩹We found out Sweet Ridge Studios and Intermountain Health (Lutheran) are partnering to bring wellness to their staff with over 20 different classes offered! Sweet Ridge is also ramping up for their own summer classes for our students and entertained a possible collab with Personal Achievement Martial Arts 🤗Intermountain will be attempting a record setting goal in October of getting as many humans in the shape of a heart as possible!
🥳We also heard great stats and updates from Jeffco Public Schools - Colorado, The Action Center, Everitt and Wheat Ridge High School - These were our FAVORITE!! So, they are getting their own post! Keep an eye out for those coming soon.
