Wharton County 4-H - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Wharton County 4-H is Learning by Doing! It's available to all boys and girls in the 3rd through 12th grades! Its not just Cows and Cooking!

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service provides programs, tools, and resources that teach people how to improve agriculture and food production, advance health practices, protect the environment, strengthen our communities, and enrich youth. Our Kids in the Sewing Room group recently participated in a fun and creative paper draping activity, and they did an amazing job! βœ‚οΈβœ¨

District 11 4-H Leadership Lab was a huge success! We had 11 youth attend this year, and they spent the past few days building leadership skills, participating in team-building activities, and making memories with friends. They also enjoyed some well earned fun at Splashway Waterpark!

We are especially proud of Abby and Zane! Abby completed her term as District 11 4-H First Vice President, and we are grateful for her dedication and leadership over the past year. Congratulations to Zane, who was elected to serve as the District 11 4-H Council Secretary for the 2026–2027 year!

What an incredible day for Wharton County 4-H at State Roundup!

πŸ†For the SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, Wharton County 4-H is home to the STATE CHAMPION VARIETY SHOW team! Congratulations to our amazing Talent Showcase performers: Abby, Abigail, Lyla, Emma, Kaylee, Kambree, Clint, Zane, and Grant. They took the stage last night and delivered an outstanding performance! We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and talent. Special THANKS to Mrs. Wallis for all of her dedication to ensuring their success!

πŸŽ“ Emma also attended the Texas 4-H Foundation Scholarship Banquet, where she officially received her $5,000 Texas 4-H Foundation Scholarship. This outstanding achievement reflects her years of dedication, leadership, and involvement in the 4-H program. Congratulations, Emma!

Emily and Grace represented Wharton County 4-H in Wool Judging, showcasing their livestock knowledge and judging skills.

Raegan, Kimber, Julia, and Sophie competed in Consumer Decision Making, putting their critical thinking and decision-making abilities to the test.

Lily spent the day assisting with Food Challenge as part of her Healthy Texas Youth Ambassador (HTYA) responsibilities, helping support one of Roundup’s exciting contests.

Kaylee hosted the Quilts of Valor Workshop as part of her Fashion & Interior Design leadership duties, sharing her talents and serving others through this meaningful program.

Bethani had a long and busy day capturing memories from around Roundup while serving as a Texas Junior Master Photographer.

🌟 Mrs. Wallis was honored during the Salute to Excellence Luncheon in recognition of her outstanding volunteerism and dedicated service to 4-H. Her commitment to supporting youth and strengthening the 4-H program has made a lasting impact, and we are proud to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.

From championships and contests to leadership and service, our Wharton County 4-H members continue to represent our county with excellence. Congratulations to all of our participants and volunteers for another fantastic day at State Roundup! πŸ’™πŸ€
