We are starting the week off with a little sparkle in The Market! Help us welcome Dobie Rod Jewelry Artisan as our newest vendor in The Market.

Using semi precious stones, Dobie handcrafts beautiful 14K gold filled jewelry that makes a beautiful gift for yourself or someone you love.

You can find Dobie’s jewelry in The Market and she will also have a booth at the Moonlight Market on November 21st.

As you prepare to do your holiday shopping, we encourage you to consider shopping small and shopping local this holiday season. Wharton County is full of amazing makers and small businesses. Oh, and don’t forget, we have layaway! You have plenty of time to layaway and get your purchase in time for holiday gift giving!

The Market is open early today and the swappers from the Texas Gulf Coast Plant Exchange are busily setting up for the swap under the pergola.

It is a beautiful day to get out and visit the Wharton County Farmers Market, visit The Market at Hesed House, and learn how the plant exchange works.

Whatever you choose to do this weekend, take some time to get outside in this beautiful weather!

We didn’t get pictures of everyone this morning but our volunteers were energetic and enthusiastic! We got the first new vegetable bed built, placed our new birdbath, picked up LOTS of limbs, did a little planting and started our fall cleanup. And what a treat to discover the sweetest little pair of doves already enjoying the new birdbath!

The wind is whipping but the cooler weather has everyone feeling renewed and happy to spend some time outdoors.

The Market will be open at 9:00 tomorrow and we would love to see you! Wishing you a weekend full of outside time and fun! 🍂

When we started building our outdoor spaces, fresh water sources were high on the list of features we wanted to incorporate. It is so much fun to see humans, squirrels, birds, butterflies, bees, and even lizards enjoy Mary’s fountain.

We hope to add in more small fountains around the campus as we continue developing our outdoor spaces. Want to help make that happen? We have a beautiful fountain picked out and ready for sponsorship as we fundraise for our inclusive pollinator garden.

Let’s keep building a beautiful and functional space for ALL of our community members to enjoy! 🐿️🪶🐝🦋

Yumminess alert! We have a restock of pumpkin cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and mini sourdough loaves! They go quickly so swing by and grab ‘em while you can 😋

Myah Moore is restocked with fresh sourdough loaves, cranberry orange scones, chocolate chip cookies, and pumpkin cookies. The Market closes at 4:00 on tuesdays but don’t wait to get these yummy treats! 😋
