Hey friends and family of The Order for the Preservation of Indian Culture,

We're reaching out to our community with a heartfelt request. Our beloved park in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Wessagusset Park, is home to special tree carvings dedicated to our founders, Chief One Bear (Ojibwe) and his wife, Little Fawn. The carvings, a bear and a fawn, are unfortunately rotting out. We're seeking donations for new carvings as our organization can't afford it. If you're able to help, please reach out. Hey everyone, wanted to reach out and share some sad news. I recently found out that Earl Bowie Running Deer, a longtime member of my grandfather's organization Topic PowWow, passed away 🙏. He was a huge supporter of our powwow and would always go out of his way to help spread the word. I'd often meet up with him at local grocery stores to give him flyers and he'd always bring multiple TeePee’s to our events to set up. He'll be deeply missed, and I always enjoyed our conversations. If anyone has any memories or stories about Earl, I'd love to hear them 😊.

We lost another beautiful long time member of TOPIC. She was so easy to talk to , her and Anthony Oteri , may they rest in peace together. 😔
