Going Home Greyhounds GHG: Bringing retired racing greyhounds home since 1995. GHG is a local organization that adopts within a 75 mile radius of the Pittsburgh area in PA only.

This helps to ensure that we are better able to communicate with our adopters and able to follow the care of our adoptees, because it is important to GHG that both the adopter and adoptee are happy and matched properly for life.

Good advice. Always remember to check those gates & fences.

Good advice. Always remember to check those gates & fences.

THE GATE IS OPEN.

Your greyhound is gone.

No gentle warning.
No time to think.
Just instant panic.

Your stomach drops. Your heart races. Every terrifying possibility flashes through your mind.

Because greyhound people know…

That quiet, sleepy couch potato can become a disappearing act in seconds.

One open gate. One forgotten door. One moment of distraction.

Please check your gates. Check your doors. Check them again.

Because the most important part of every greyhound’s journey is making sure they come home safely. ❤️🐾

Have you ever experienced that heart-stopping moment?
