If any adopters in the area, please be on the lookout for this boy. We may not have placed him, but I’m sure the owners would appreciate any and all help.

UPDATE: night 2 of him missing. There was a sighting of him(car almost hit him) as he ran across rt 18 in front of ups/vet building and Yoder /johnson road intersection by apple castle Please be alert in that area driving and if you have friends in that area notify them to be on the lookout. Nice dog not mean! Sharing for my daughter in new Wilmington. He is fast though, could be anywhere by now. Deer colored so 😞

🐾 Unpopular opinion — your greyhound does not want a soft bed because they are spoiled.

They need one. And science backs it up completely.

Here is what most people do not realise about a greyhound’s body at rest.

Zero body fat. Thin skin. Bones that sit closer to the surface than virtually any other breed. Without adequate cushioning, every pressure point — hips, shoulders, elbows, spine — makes contact with a hard surface with almost nothing in between to protect it.

For a standard dog this is uncomfortable. For a greyhound it can cause genuine pain, joint damage and pressure sores over time.

That instinctive search for the softest spot in the house? The migration to your bed, your couch, your favourite cushion?

That is not a personality quirk. That is your greyhound’s body telling them exactly what they need to stay healthy and comfortable. 🖤

The soft bed is not a luxury. It is a necessity.

ADOPTED: WD Crushin Time (Lizzo/Lizzie).

Lizzie has found her retirement home with Marla & Neal & we are told she is quite the lover and loves giving kisses She also now has two Great Dane sisters in Hazel & Ruby and 3 ducks! We are told so far she has no interest in the ducks who have their own safe space.

Let’s wish them the very best.
