Hey nonprofits! Mark your calendars to join us for Nonprofits North on Thursday, August 20 from 2-3pm at the PNRC in the Wexford Baierl.com Automotive Conference Center and hosted by our own PNRC Board Chair Tom Baker! Nonprofit members and non-members alike are welcome!

Our guest will be Marissa Luznar, the Founder and CEO of Candid Communications, a strategic marketing and communications firm. With nearly 20 years of experience across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, she helps organizations communicate their value, demonstrate their impact, and inspire the people they need to engage and support their work.

Strong fundraising campaigns don’t begin with a theme, a brochure or an appeal letter. They begin with a clear story, credible proof of impact and an organization that is prepared to communicate both consistently. During her presentation, she will explore common communications gaps that can quietly weaken capital campaigns, annual appeals, milestone initiatives and other major fundraising efforts - even when the mission is compelling and the need is real.

Our most recent PNRC Nonprofits North was....well... sweet! Our community nonprofit organizations were treated to a presentation at the PNRC Baierl.com Automotive Conference Center by Ishaan Sharma. Ishaan and his mother Priya Sharma are Cake4Kids Greater Pittsburgh Co-Ambassadors. Ishaan shared a bit about this wonderful organization and how children and youth served by our amazing local nonprofits can benefit from the program as well as different ways to become involved. Due to poor air quality conditions, the Cranberry Town Square Market for today, July 17, is canceled. Vendors - please check your emails for a message from the Market organizers, the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber.
After having to cancel last week, we were looking forward to seeing everyone back at the market tonight. Ultimately, however, protecting the health & safety of our vendors, visitors, staff & volunteers is of the highest importance.

As we close out the month of June, we once again celebrate our June Member of the Month Rakesh Unnithan and thank him for his commitment to the PNRC.

The PNRC is proud to dedicate its June 2026 Member of the Month honor to Rakesh Unnithan, VP & Business Banking Relationship Manager at WesBanco Bank!

Rakesh, a Past Chair of the Chamber's Board of Directors, was recognized as our 2025 Board Champion at this year's PNRC Annual Awards Gala, exemplifying outstanding commitment to the Chamber through active member recruitment, dedicated fundraising efforts, and thoughtful Board candidate nominations.

As a decision-maker for member branches in Cranberry and Ross Township, he has turned WesBanco into a Chamber Partner and perennial sponsor of the Gala, as well as our PNRC Golf Classic in August.
