As National CPR & AED Awareness Week and our It Starts With You campaign come to a close, we want to thank everyone who participated, shared resources, attended webinars, took the pledge, learned CPR, promoted awareness, and helped strengthen preparedness in their communities.

Every conversation shared. Every CPR lesson learned. Every AED registered. Every story told. It all matters.

This week may be ending, but the mission continues all year long. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anytime, anywhere, and the power to make a lifesaving difference starts with informed, prepared communities.

During sudden cardiac arrest, every second counts. But an AED can only help if people know where to find it.

As part of our It Starts With You campaign during National CPR & AED Awareness Week, we’re encouraging individuals and communities everywhere to register publicly accessible AEDs with the PulsePoint Foundation AED app.

By adding AED locations to the registry, you can help first responders and nearby bystanders quickly locate lifesaving equipment during an emergency.

One of the biggest barriers to saving a life is hesitation.

In this powerful message shared on South Bend Indiana radio station B-100, SCAF H.E.A.R.T. Champion and Miss South Bend, Hannah Stombaugh, reminds us that when sudden cardiac arrest strikes, every second matters. The person who calls 911, starts CPR, or retrieves an AED could be the reason someone gets a second chance at life.

Throughout National CPR & AED Awareness Week, Hannah has been helping spread this lifesaving message through media appearances, community outreach, and hands-on demonstrations. We are incredibly grateful for her partnership and dedication to raising awareness.
