Did you know avoiding difficult conversations could be a hang-up?

Sometimes we call it “keeping the peace”… but really, we’re avoiding discomfort.

We stay quiet because we don’t want conflict.
We pretend it doesn’t bother us.
We push down what we’re feeling.
We avoid setting the boundary.
We rehearse the conversation in our head… but never actually have it.

And eventually, what we refuse to address can turn into resentment, bitterness, fear, or distance.

Recovery teaches us that avoiding something doesn’t heal it.

Sometimes healing requires us to have the conversation we’ve been afraid to have… with honesty, grace, healthy boundaries, and God leading the way.

You don’t have to control how the other person responds.
You’re only responsible for walking in truth, love, and obedience.
