Yesterday, Shannon and Scott visited NFA to catch one of the final lunch services of the year at the student-run Brickview Restaurant! 🍽️

We were treated to Sebastian Melendez’s custom menu, featuring incredible chicken enchilada soup, chicken tacos, fresh chips with guacamole, and more.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The menu changes with every single service, giving each student a unique opportunity to debut their own culinary creations.

We also had the pleasure of speaking with Laura Sczyzgiel about the incredible ProStart program and the future of culinary and hospitality education. 🎓✨

We’re looking for student volunteers to participate in this year’s CHEF Farm Dinner on June 22nd at the beautiful Lyman Orchards Golf Club! This is an incredible opportunity to work alongside talented industry professionals, gain hands-on experience, network with leaders in hospitality, and be part of an unforgettable culinary event.

A very overdue post.. but this accomplishment is too big not to celebrate! 🎉

During the first week of March, our incredible Connecticut ProStart community raised a RECORD-BREAKING $44,000 for ProStart Week - the highest total we’ve ever raised! 👏

This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing restaurants that participated, the teams who promoted and supported the initiative, and everyone who chose to dine out and give back to ProStart students across Connecticut. Your support helps us continue creating opportunities for the next generation of hospitality leaders.

What an incredible weekend we had recently at the National ProStart Invitational in Baltimore (April 24–26)! ✨

We were proud to have our Connecticut state champions representing us on the national stage: Wilbur Cross High School (New Haven) in Restaurant Management and Enfield High School (Enfield) in Culinary. Both teams brought talent, dedication, and serious skill to the competition!

Beyond the competition, students had the chance to experience a true Baltimore tradition at Nick’s Fish House where our President & CEO, Scott Dolch, gave a hands-on lesson in cracking and enjoying Maryland blue crabs 🦀

The weekend wrapped up with an exciting awards dinner, and we’re thrilled to share that Wilbur Cross placed in the Top 10 for Management for the 10th year in a row! 🎉

We couldn’t be more proud of these students and all their hard work. The future of the hospitality industry is bright!

Enfield takes the stage this morning in the Culinary Competition, streaming live starting at 9:30AM on our Instagram. 👩‍🍳🍽️

After a quick recharge this afternoon, we’ll head into the Awards Gala at 7PM where National Champions will be announced 🏆

And of course… ending the weekend with ProStart Prom before heading home 💃🕺
