Good news for birthing people - birth plans work. Not that we needed the literature to tell us that ☺️

Patients with birth plans have higher rates of vaginal delivery and early breastfeeding.

I know Mother’s Day can be hard for those of us who have experienced birth trauma, loss, and/or unwelcome complexities in our parenting journey.

So I just wanted to share this today in case it speaks to anyone else besides me.

If motherhood has been a mix of joy and grief for you, you’re not alone.

Your story is still being written.

You are an amazing mother and the hardship you’ve faced is a part of that.

You are the hero of your own story.
