Thank you all for your support over the years in fighting these bills alongside my mother. I am writing as Karren's daughter to share the sad news that Mom lost her years long battle with breast cancer this week. She was a force to be reckoned with and a fighter until the very end - as you all knew from her tireless advocacy for my brother and justice for all victims. I never fully understood her passion around this until I became a mother myself recently, and truly understood how the pain of losing my child would be the worst pain in the world.
