The following may be addressed to me, but it is really for all who supported our efforts in Ghana.
It is from one of our scholarship recipients who exemplifies what ZELCOWA’s mission hoped to accomplish.
“Dear Ms. Tobiassen Babara,
I hope this letter finds you well. I write to express my profound gratitude to you for the invaluable financial support you extended to me through the ZELCOWA Foundation during my undergraduate studies at the University of Education, Winneba. Your generosity laid a strong academic foundation that has culminated in the successful completion of my Master’s degree in English at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Your scholarship support did far more than ease my financial burden; it gave me hope, motivation, and the confidence to pursue academic excellence. I am deeply convinced that without your timely intervention, my educational journey would have been far more challenging, if not impossible. Today, my Master’s degree stands as a direct outcome of the opportunity you created for me years ago, which I have always acknowledged on every platform I find myself.
I remain committed to using my education as a tool for positive social change. My resolve is to contribute meaningfully to society through teaching, mentorship, and service, particularly by supporting young people who face educational and socio-economic challenges similar to those I once encountered. In this regard, I wish to express my willingness to voluntarily contribute my time, skills, and expertise through the ZELCOWA Foundation in any human service capacity that aligns with its mission. It would be an honour to give back by helping to uplift others through the very platform that transformed my own life.
Once again, I sincerely thank you for your kindness, vision, and belief in the power of education. Your support has had a lasting impact, and I remain forever grateful.
Please accept my highest appreciation and warm regards.
Yours sincerely,
DOGMALKUU K. CORNELIUS
Beneficiary of ZELCOWA Foundation”
