A powerful moment at our flag raising ceremony.

Natalie Stoway, a transplant recipient, raised the Donate Life flag in honor of her donor hero — her brother, Ryan. Through the gift of tissue donation, Ryan’s ligament helped restore Natalie’s knee and continues his legacy of giving.

As Alexis Stoway shared their family’s story, we were reminded of how donation connects families, heals lives and carries love forward.

April is National Donate Life Month, a time to celebrate the power of connection and the lives made possible through donation. This year’s theme 'Leave a Legacy' highlights trees as a symbol of strength, growth and the connection that binds us all. Just as trees in a forest support one another, organ, eye and tissue donation brings people together — donors, recipients and families — in a powerful way.

🌳 Like a tree that stands tall for generations, a donor’s gift creates a lasting legacy of hope and life.

This April, take the next step. Register your decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor at ShareLifeMidwest.com, and discuss your choice with your family and community. 💜💚
