Season's greetings from Feeding Minisink. We are profoundly thankful for your kindness and generosity throughout the year. ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„ We acknowledge and appreciate the collaborative efforts of our partners in supporting our community's initiatives to address food insecurities affecting Minisink families.

The following organizations have graciously hosted our drop-off bins: ShopRite Dolson Ave Middletown NY, courtesy of Donna and Maria, Dollar General, courtesy of Erick and Tiffany, and Finding Homes Farms, courtesy of Laura and Dana. These locations will continue to serve as drop-off points.

We are grateful for past donations; however, food insecurities remain a significant concern within our community. On behalf of Feeding Minisink and Holy Cross Food Pantry, we express our deepest appreciation to all donors who have contributed to our food bins, thereby enabling us to provide assistance to community members struggling with food insecurity. Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Holidays and Happy New Year from Feeding Minisink.

FEEDING MINISINK NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!

*****With no significant progress being made in the
GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN we NEED your HELP& SUPPORT more than ever. Many MINISINK FAMILIES are being effected by the shutdown ****************

FEEDING MINISINK is reaching out to the community and letting everyone know that the amount of families in the community that are experiencing food insecurity is on the rise. FEEDING MINISINK realizes times are tough and money is tight in these economic times. As we enter day 25 of the government shutdown with no end in sight we are anticipating the number of families in need to rise. Last month the Holy Cross Food Pantry served almost 65 families in our community during normal times the amount of families utilizing the food pantry runs between 40-50 families a month. We are asking if you can help the Holy Cross food pantry

Feeding Minisinkโ€™s has two drop box locations.

1. Dollar General on Rt284 in Westtown NY and

2. Shop Rite on Dolson Avenue in Middletown NY. ShopRite supports two organizations PLEASE make sure you put your donation in the box that says FEEEDING MINISINK.

Sharing an urgent need from Holy Cross food pantry for donations. "First, we want to thank everyone who has made it possible and continue to make it possible to provide the food, household, and personal items that are distributed each First Saturday "Open" Pantry - THANK YOU - your caring and generosity is a blessing!

Unfortunately, we have to share the news that the Food Pantry is facing some worries. The number of families facing difficulties has increased and that affects the number of people we serve at the First Saturday "Open" Pantry. This past weekend we had a record number of families that were provided with food, personal and household items. This combined with the number of families we provided Easter Meals has wiped out our shelves.

Sadly, at this point we may have to turn families away or cut back on the food and other items that are now being distributed due to insufficient supplies. Before we resort to turning away or trying to redirect families, we would like to ask our generous, caring parishioners for HELP.

Holy Cross Parishioners have always reached out to others in need, and we are asking you once again to lend a hand. You can pick up items as you do your regular food shopping. Just a few items each week, every other week or even each month can make a difference in the replenishing of our Food Pantry and keeping our shelves stocked.

Can you spare a few canned goods of soup or Chef Boyardee meals, tomato sauces & pastas, tuna fish and cereals - in fact all unexpired dry or canned foods? Also needed are household cleansers or detergents and personal hygiene items such as deodorants, shampoo & conditioners, and body washes - these items are always in need and are welcome!

We also take monetary donations - if donating by check, please make checks out to the REGIONAL FOOD PANTRY.

Thank you for taking the time to read this cry for help and please consider donating to our Food Pantry. If we all lend a helping hand it can make a huge difference!

Thank you as always for your support of those in need! " Paul Altenburg
