Explore scenic trails along Lake Champlain while experiencing and sharing the joys of birdwatching! All skill levels are welcome.

Ready to dig into Earth’s ancient past? Join Champlain Area Trails and paleontologist Nancy Budd for a special Fossil Walk at Essex Quarry Nature Preserve!

🗓️ Date: Tuesday, September 1st
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: Essex Quarry Nature Preserve, Essex, NY (2203 Lake Shore Rd)

• Discover how fossils are formed
• Learn about local geology

🌳 Help protect our forests! Join us Tuesday, August 25th at 5 p.m. for a Beech Leaf Disease Hike with Champlain Area Trails and the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP).

🚶‍♂️ Enjoy a 2-mile walk through Twin Valleys in Lewis, NY, where you'll learn how to spot and report invasive pests threatening our Adirondacks. Get hands-on training in identifying beech trees and signs of Beech Leaf Disease, and discover how to use the iMapInvasives app for conservation.

Help maintain this scenic, 2-mile trail as we lop, hand-saw, and clean up to make it safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and make a difference in your community!
