WESTPORT, Ind. โ€” The Kiwanis Club of Westport invites local children and families to enjoy a fun-filled morning outdoors at the annual Kids Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Westport Water Co Fishing Lakes.

The event is free and open to the public. Each child must have an entry form completed and signed by a parent or guardian before participating. Entry forms will be available Saturday morning. Children are required to bring their own fishing equipment, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle.

Participants will compete for trophies and door prizes in the following age divisions:
โ€ข Ages 13โ€“15
โ€ข Ages 9โ€“12
โ€ข Ages 8 and under (must be accompanied by an adult)

In addition to fishing, free hot dogs and drinks will be provided for attendees, courtesy of Sander's Market & Deli, Pavey's Westport, and the Westport Dairy Queen. The Kiwanis Club of Westport extends its sincere thanks to these local businesses for their generous support of this event.

The Kiwanis Club of Westport organizes the Fishing Rodeo each year to provide a safe, family-friendly activity that encourages children to enjoy the outdoors and build lasting community memories.

โ€œThis is always a great day for kids and families in our community,โ€ event organizers said. โ€œWeโ€™re excited to welcome everyone out for a morning of fishing, fun, and prizes.โ€

The public is encouraged to attend and participate.
