Westport Education Foundation

The Westport Education Foundation raises funds to:

• Promote and enhance educational excellence by providing independent funding that would not typically be covered by the school budget for worthy educational projects, enrichment programs, and other educational initiatives beyond the standard curriculum

• Foster a culture of excellence in the Westport Community Schools by inspiring students and

supporting teachers with innovative learning opportunities

• Enrich the public school curriculum with programs and activities that expose students to diverse learning experiences, and challenge students to reach well beyond their current abilities

• Offer members of the Westport community a channel to contribute to education and strengthen the future of the town

Westport Fair Scholarship in Memory of Michael C. Lees II.

Founder and owner of Lees Landscaping & Excavation, Michael’s dedication to hard work, integrity, and service left a lasting impact on the Westport community.

As a local business owner, mentor, and friend to many, Michael believed in the value of honest work, taking pride in one’s craft, and giving back to others. Through years of building and growing his landscaping business, he created not only beautiful outdoor spaces but also meaningful opportunities to make connections and take risks to follow his dream. This scholarship honors his legacy by supporting high school seniors who embody his values; strong work ethic, commitment to community, and a desire to build a meaningful future, through entrepreneurship.

Open to high school seniors in Bristol County seeking studies in construction management, business, landscape, architecture, or engineering.

If you or someone you know are interested in applying for this scholarship please go to our website, WestportFair.com and please download and complete. Or you may send a message to this post with your email address so we can forward you the application.
