SPRING CLEANING? RECYCLE YOUR BICYCLES!

Got bikes your kids have outgrown? Or maybe an old one no one uses you trip over in the garage? Now you can recycle those unwanted bikes.right here in Westport. The Westport Bike Committee with the help of the Westport Board of Health, and the staff at the transfer station have set up 2 Bike Recycle Sheds in Lot 3 at the town transfer station.
And to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday April 25, 2026 from 10-1 pm this bike recycling is open to all South Coast residents, tell the gate attendant you are recycling bikes and they will direct you to Lot 3 and you are welcome to take a bike too, if you need one..
Drop your unused bikes, in any condition, at the transfer station when you take in your trash and recycling. Drop a bike, take a bike, ride a bike ( and clean the garage.) What’s not to love?.
