The Westport Police Department and Westport Fire Department invite you to join us for Westport’s National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. We are currently accepting vendor applications; space is limited, so please apply as soon as possible.

This annual event brings the community together to connect with local police, fire, town departments, and businesses in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. There will be food, music, demonstrations, and activities for all ages.

Date: Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: 19 Main Road, Westport, MA (Old High School grounds)

Congratulations Sgt Cambra. Thank you for 29 years of service to the Westport community. We wish you a long, happy and healthy retirement!

Today we recognize an incredible milestone... Sergeant Cambra is working his final shift with the Westport Police Department. 🚓

After many years of dedicated service to the Westport community, Sgt. Cambra is officially hanging up the uniform and beginning a well deserved retirement. Throughout his career, he has exemplified professionalism, leadership and a deep commitment to keeping our community safe. His impact on the department and the residents he served will not be forgotten.

Please join us in thanking Sgt. Cambra for his years of service, sacrifice and dedication. We wish him all the best in this next chapter and hope his retirement is filled with health, happiness and plenty of time doing the things he enjoys most.

The Westport Police Department is excited to take the court for the 1st Annual WMS Unified Basketball Match!

Join us as Westport Police face off against Westport Unified in a fun, high-energy game that brings our community together.

📅 Wednesday, March 4th
⏰ Tip-off at 6:00 PM (Doors open at 5:30 PM)
📍 WMHS Gymnasium

This is our first community event of its kind, and we’d love to see the stands packed with friends, families, and fans cheering loud!

🎟 Admission is FREE
💙 Donations are welcome

Come out, show your support, and help us make this an unforgettable night for our students and our community. We’ll see you on the court!

This Christmas Eve, members of the Westport Police Department had the privilege of delivering gifts to local children in need. 🎄🎁

Seeing the smiles and spreading a little extra joy during the holiday season is a reminder of what this time of year is all about, community, compassion, and looking out for one another. We’re grateful to be able to help make Christmas a little brighter for some very special kids.

We want to thank the Holy Ghost Club for hosting a toy drive breakfast with Santa this morning. They are donating everything they collected today to the WPA to distribute to families in need on Christmas Eve.

We are also still collecting donations for the woman shelter until December 18th. Donations can be dropped off at the police station or either fire station.

Kicking off the holiday season at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting at Westport Woods. Thank you to the Westport Recreation for always including us and putting on another great community event.

We hope the kids enjoyed their stuffed animals, and the WPA wants to wish everyone a happy holidays!

The Westport Police & Westport Fire Department, Massachusetts are holding a holiday Clothing & Toy Drive to support the Women’s Center and the families they serve. We’re collecting new items for women and children affected by domestic violence.

Donations can be dropped off at any of the stations listed through December 18th.
