United Way Broward will host an Emergency Food Distribution to support individuals and families who have been impacted by the ongoing government shutdown. Many households in our community have been without a paycheck for several weeks, and this effort aims to provide immediate relief during this difficult time.

Thanks to the support of volunteers and community partners, food will be distributed directly to residents who need it most.

Food will be available while supplies last.

There is still time to support the Kiwanis International Christmas in July Initiative.

Every day, thousands of children in our community go without basic necessities like clean underwear, shoes that fit, and clothes they can wear to school with confidence. These are not luxuries. They are essential to a child’s dignity, stability, and opportunity.

For more than 22 years, Christmas in July has stepped in to meet these needs, serving over 50,000 children. This year, the need is greater than ever, with a record number of homeless students in our school system.

By supporting this walk and run, you are doing more than donating. You are restoring dignity, offering hope, and reminding children that their community cares. Together, we can make a real difference, one step at a time.

Did you know that the Peace Corps is building a memorial for all those that have served.

The Peace Corps commemorative project in Washington, D.C. is a congressionally authorized effort to create a permanent memorial park honoring the mission and values of the Peace Corps. Located near the U.S. Capitol and the National Mall, the site is designed as a quiet place of reflection that celebrates global service, cultural understanding, and partnership between Americans and communities around the world. Rather than focusing on individuals, the memorial emphasizes the shared human connections and ideals that define Peace Corps service. With key design approvals completed, the project is moving through fundraising and construction planning and will ultimately be maintained by the National Park Service as a lasting tribute to international cooperation and peacebuilding.
