Winter is on its way out… while we’re thankful for 535 Veterans Wreaths that adorned Weston Cemetery, it’s now time for cleanup!

Could you spare a few minutes to help with Wreath Retirement on Saturday, March 14th?

The Village of Weston will have a truck at the Cemetery to place retired wreaths beginning at 10am.

All day long I’ve been trying to come up with the words to best articulate the emotions of National Wreaths Across America Day. Usually, I’m never short on words, but today I have just one… grateful.

Grateful for the sacrifice of those who served to protect our freedom.

Grateful for a community that values the same.

Grateful.

From the minute our first wreath is sponsored, until the last wreath is laid… I’m flooded with emotion. And when I see my community show up… well, it’s just overwhelming.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2nd year of Wreaths Across America at Weston Cemetery a success. It leaves my heart… grateful.

Today at 10am, we’ll join 5,598 cemeteries across the United States and honor 3.1 MILLION veterans. Join us for National Wreaths Across America Day at Weston Cemetery!

👉 Ceremony begins 10am at:
Sonlight Church & Community Center
19920 Sand Ridge Road. Donuts, Juice, and Coffee served.

👉 Wreath Laying immediately following ceremony. Please follow procession from church to:

528 wreaths were delivered this morning… that’s 44 boxes of Veteran’s Wreaths ready to remember and honor Weston’s bravest interred at Weston Cemetery.

On Saturday, December 13 at 10am, we’ll join 5,598 cemeteries across the United States and honor 3.1 MILLION veterans. Join us for National Wreaths Across America Day at Weston Cemetery!

We’ve received word today our wreaths will be arriving on Wednesday, courtesy of Logistics based in Defiance.

Our Veterans Wreaths are being delivered directly from Wreaths Across America headquarters in Maine! The trucking company provides transportation at NO COST to Wreaths Across America!

I don’t have an exact time of when the wreaths will arrive… I’ll know more when the driver calls on Wednesday.

If you’re able to help unload the 44 boxes of wreaths, please stay tuned here and I’ll post a time as soon as I hear from the driver!

It’s almost National Wreaths Across America! Join us to help honor Weston’s bravest by laying a Veterans Wreaths on 528 graves on Saturday, December 13!

Our program begins with a short ceremony at Sonlight Church & Community Center at 10am, after which we’ll make our way to the cemetery for wreath laying.

Participating in Wreaths Across America with nearly 6,000 other cemeteries across the United States is a humbling experience. Dress warm, fill those pockets with Hot Hands and join us!

Join us for Wreaths Across America Day at Weston Cemetery on Saturday, December 13!

On December 14, 2024 at 10:00 am, Wreaths Across America will be at Weston Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Please join us for a Remembrance Ceremony at 10am at:
Sonlight Church & Community Center

Upon conclusion of the ceremony, volunteers will follow a procession through the Village of Weston for the wreath laying ceremony at:
