18 Sumner County Schools Earn Coveted Reward School Status
Gallatin, TN—The Tennessee Department of Education released its annual list of Reward Schools, which recognizes top tier schools in a comprehensive measure that includes achievement scores, growth scores, chronic absenteeism, English Learner proficiency, graduation rates, and ready graduate preparation. Students in grades 3-11 are tested each year in core subject areas that include math, social studies, and English / Language Arts.
“We are excited to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of these 18 Reward Schools, which highlight the hard work and dedication of our principals, teachers, staff, students, and families,” said Superintendent Dr. Scott Langford. “Their commitment to high academic standards ensures our students are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be Sumner Ready. These honors reflect the culture of excellence we continue to foster across Sumner County Schools.”
