Community Garden Connections Community Garden Connections (CGC) builds local capacity to grow food and community--join us! Jean Kayira and Libby McCann.

CGC’s education and outreach enhance community resilience through installation and cooperative maintenance of 70+ raised garden beds alongside social service agencies and nonprofits. CGC offers safe places for community members to get outside, learn, and connect through gardening. Amidst Covid-19, CGC pivoted its programming to offer virtual workshops, educational materials, 150 “container gardens

Antioch University’s ES Department’s Community Garden Connection worked with volunteers to prune the older apple trees at the Westmoreland Garden plot. With the help and guidance of our Westmoreland neighbor, Paul Steblein, the CGC team of volunteers got a great start on pruning back the trees. Pruning is a necessary management strategy to ensure the best production of apples for the upcoming season. Way to go team!

Winter Conference - Colby-Sawyer College, New London, NH
Saturday, March 7, 2026, 9:00am - 5:00PM ET
This year's NOFA-NH Winter Conference's focus was community, resilience, and the transformative power of local food. This year’s theme, "Taking Root: Nourishing Community", honors the deep connections between land, people, and practices that sustain us. Over the course of the conference, attendees engaged in workshops, thought-provoking discussions, and skill-building sessions led by farmers, gardeners, advocates, and educators. It’s a place to collaborate with community members, exchange ideas, connect with old friends and new allies, and leave feeling recharged and inspired. .
