We’re coming back and even bigger than before, ready to teach the next generation of racers!
Wheels for Change, Inc. will be offering five wheelchair racing educational sessions at Move United Sport’s Hartford Nationals in July.
I’ll be joined by my teammates Brian Siemann and Jason Robinson presenting the following sessions - please help spread the word!
Preparing for Success in Life and Sport after High School - Tips for managing health, academics/vocation, communication, elite sport competition, and more.
Drafting and Distance Racing Strategy - Discussion followed by on-track drafting practice. All are welcome to watch. Physical participation is limited to participants 14 and older with faster than a 3-minute 800 time.
Starts- Demonstration of start techniques followed by on-track practice.
Wheelchair Racing Basics and Q&A- Training preparation, tool bag contents, compensator setting, racing chair seating position, stroke technique, glove styles, racing in the rain, and more. Bring your questions!
Knowledge Hub Challenge - Stop by our tent during Sunday’s racing sessions to meet our presenters, learn/demonstrate equipment skills, try different rollers and various glove styles, and ask questions! Bring/pick up your Knowledge Hub Challenge Punch Card and complete the activities to earn free tools and tool bags. The more you learn, the more you earn!
Hope to see you there!
