We are passionately committed to changing the lives of children and teens with a chronic illness. It was a life changing week for me and my family.

Our mission is to infuse hope & happiness into their daily lives, empowering them to face challenges with courage, and to create a supportive community. My name is Alexisand I am the Founder of Live,Hope,Laugh Alexis Ross Organization. I founded this Organization after being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. In October of 2008 I became very very sick, I was rushed to the hospital when I arrived and some tests were run my sugar was over 1,200 I was immediately transported to Sinai Pediatric Hospital. I spent a week learning all about diabetes and how to manage it. No one in my family has diabetes, but with good diet, watching my levels I have been able to manage it very well and have no more hospitalizations. I am dedicated to helping children like myself that live day in and day out with a chronic illness. I help many families in the Carroll County area each year through various programs we have.

Our 17th Annual Night of Giving will take place on Saturday, December 12th, and months of planning go into making this night truly magical for every family we serve. We want every child to experience the joy, excitement, and wonder of Christmas! 🎅🎁

🦃❤️ HELP US MAKE THANKSGIVING SPECIAL FOR OUR FAMILIES! ❤️🦃

As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season and our Night of Giving, we are also preparing to provide Thanksgiving meals to families who could use a little extra help this year.

We will be collecting canned goods and Thanksgiving meal items, and we are happy to come to you for pickup if you have donations to give!

Many of our families are facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Their children may be hospitalized, going through treatments, facing surgeries, or dealing with serious health challenges. During this time of year, a little extra help can mean so much. ❤️

❤️ HELP NEEDED FOR ONE OF OUR KIDS ❤️

One of our kids is in need of a few items, and we’re hoping someone may be able to help!

👖 Black dress pants – 60-inch waist

💔 Please keep one of our Live Hope Laugh families in your prayers today. 🙏❤️

One of our kids, who has been with us since the very beginning, was with us at Fall Fest helping since Thursday. Yesterday, he learned that his mom had been taken to the hospital because she was having trouble breathing. She is currently unable to walk more than a couple of feet and is waiting for the results of a lot of testing.

I have been in contact with her throughout the night. She is terrified and, understandably, so worried about her son. I reassured her that I will do everything I can to help and make sure he is okay.

He is such a sweet, kind young man. He just turned 17 and has faced so much himself, including many medical challenges that have meant spending a lot of time at Johns Hopkins. ❤️

Right now, it is just the two of them. They don’t have family nearby to lean on—they have each other. I will continue to stay in close contact with him and help with whatever needs come up, whether that means food, transportation, or simply being there for him.

Please say lots of prayers for his mom and for him today and tonight. 🙏🙏🙏

He is such a kind-hearted kid, and I know he is scared and worried sick about his mom. Please keep them both close in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

We are family, and we will be here for them. ❤️
