AWCPP is having a fundraiser to help us with the Care Package Projects. We are selling raffle tickets for this beautiful Happy 250th Birthday to the USA quilt. The winning ticket for this special commemorative quilt will be drawn on Veterans Day, November 11, 2026. It's only $5 a chance, or 3 tickets for $10.

A huge thank you and shout out to Ravens Roost #57 of Owings Mills for the very generous donation to help with the Care Package Projects! Veteran Bill Miller with VFW Post 521 presented the check to Jo-Ann and Dawn with AWCPP. This was given to AWCPP along with several boxes of goodies for the troops from the Post members. This will be extremely helpful for sending many packages which are greatly needed, especially at times like this. A huge thank you goes out to UNION MEMORIAL POST 8806 UNION BRIDGE V.F.W Auxiliary for the generous donation towards postage to ship packages to our deployed service members. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. 🇺🇸

It was an evening full of surprises earlier this week! On Wednesday evening, the planning committee from the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall was invited by Tammy with Babylon Vault Company for the final wrap-up meeting. What a success that epic event was and there's more in store! Tammy has some fantastic ideas for the anniversary of the wall coming to New Windsor. Stay tuned for her to make some exciting announcements!

In addition to the awesome upcoming plans, Sandy Rowe and friends with the VFW Auxiliary Unit 8806 surprised me with a gift to help AWCPP with the care package projects. Thank you so much for your support for our Troops in faraway places. 🤗

Purple Up Day 2026 is set to be celebrated on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. This day is part of the larger Month of the Military Child observance in April and is dedicated to recognizing the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of military-connected children. Communities, schools, and organizations are encouraged to wear purple to visibly show their support and appreciation for these children. The color purple was chosen because it symbolizes all branches of the military, combining the colors of the Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy, and Space Force.

For all of you wondering if your items have been received, here is the tracking.

Those who ordered the Tide laundry detergent should ask for a refund if only one bottle was shipped. They are marked on the list.

Cynthia Wantz, you should ask for a refund on the body wash (or at least half for the one bottle). One bottle arrived damaged and leaking. There was no bubble wrap or paper protection in the box. The box itself was fine. The lid was smashed on one bottle so it could not be shipped. Pics are included.

Shipment #2, including, but definitely not limited to, a PlayStation with the Call of Duty game, a small television and 2 cases of peanuts (140 bags!) donated by Texas Roadhouse in Westminster. These 16 care packages are now en route to the USS Gerald R. Ford! Postage totaled $340.25 for this shipment!
