Piggy Sue Rescue

Piggy Sue Rescue 501c3 NonProfit Farm Animal Sanctuary We have 300 beautiful acres including woods and ponds. People ask us all the time: why pigs?

Mission Statement

Piggy Sue Rescue Farm Sanctuary is creating HOG HEAVEN for unwanted or abandoned pet pigs and other critters in North Texas

Located in North Texas about 50 miles north of Dallas

We have a large ranch and a love of all animals. After obtaining my wildlife rehab permit, I saw there was a huge need for unwanted pigs and all the rescues were full, so I started my own. What st

arted out as a pig rescue quickly grew to accommodate other animals including a mini longhorn rescued from a Kill Pen, a mini mule, a rescued peacock, over 80 squirrels raised and released into our pecan trees annd numerous chickens and roosters confiscated by animal control in areas up to 200 miles away. All the animals are free to roam and graze during the day, and sheltered safely at night with barns, heat & straw. Gaining the trust of pigs in our care is the most rewarding part of what we do; by providing safety and love, we're able to watch them grow in confidence, learn true joy, and become their truest selves. We're also home to 200+ head of cattle, numerous goats, 9 newly rescued working cats from SPCA of Texas Working Cat Program and about 100 chickens and roosters, even a Rescued Peacock named Liberace

Our duty is to educate the public and disrupt the pig paradigm that results in them being seen as food, commodities, bred and starved to be "micro pigs," tested on, and under-appreciated in the scope of the animal world. We hope that if you spend a little bit of time with us, you'll be able to answer that for yourself.

Frito, Laverne & Shirley 🐽🐽🐽

Fella has been moved down from Oklahoma with his foster mom to us here at the ranch. We need to know who this boy is and this is the place to figure it all out. Unfortunately it didn’t take long before he showed us his true colors. He will need to be adopted to only dog home, and that’s no easy feat as you all know.

Sigh..

PLEASE NOTE:
We have a very rigid surrender process. Someone dumped a female pig on our property this morning in a crate with a blanket. Clearly it was someone’s pet. She has not been spayed which means she can produce 30 or more piglets a year. Any animals dumped here without going through the surrender process will be sent to animal control. If this is your animal I suggest you contact us immediately. [email protected]

Check out our new interview with magazine 🐽🐽🐽

People don’t plan to give up their animals…
but it happens every single day.

What starts as “just a little pig”…
becomes a lifelong responsibility most aren’t prepared for.

This is why we exist.

A second chance.
A safe place.
A forever home.

💛 If you believe animals deserve that, please share this.
