As we approach High School season here for Colorado Softball We just wanted to wish everyone nothing but the best this fall.

For the Girls trying out next week, good luck and go all out! Be a good student-athlete and enjoy the time!

For those Umpires starting games with scrimmages next week, use those to hone your skills and work on improving each pitch and every play. Just a few short 10 weeks season and playoffs will be here!

Next weekend, May 10-12, there will be nearly 175 Colorado Softball teams playing in 4 different organization tournaments (USA Fastpitch of Colorado, Perfect Game, EL1, USSSA). This does not count any local recreation league play or scrimmages.

This will also be in direct conflict with College conference tournaments, HS baseball and local youth baseball tournaments. Also it is Mother's day weekend as well.

Please if you have ever thought of taking up umpiring, now would be a great time to start. There are not enough umpires for coverage across the state and each year more and more teams are popping up.

We are still in need of some umpires for this weekends Foothills Challenge. This is a USA FASTPITCH of CO Sanctioned Tournament ran by the Colorado Stars organization. Great level of softball at Stazio, Erie and Waddell.

We have a lot of games on May 4-5 weekend on the schedule as well playing at Aurora and Arvada.

Umpires working the Scholarship tournament please check your email for an urgent update. The winds have caused damage to Arvada fields and games/entire age groups had to be canceled. Waddell and Carroll butts are still good.
