It is the children and the women who suffer the most in war. Please pray for these little ones in Kakuma Refugee Camp where the situation is already dire and is becoming more so with the violence in North Sudan. Our new website link: hohsouthsudan.org We continue to raise funds to take orphans out of the refugee camp to be educated and properly cared for. Thank you!

Akeer (wants to be a doctor) shown in Kakuma Refugee camp 2021 (Lt) & now 2022 (Rt) after our nonprofit took her out and placed her in a home -providing food, family & education. Our family has been involved with the 'Lost Boys of S. Sudan' (that fled the genocide in 1980's) for over 17 years & are now focusing on rescuing as many orphans (to date 8!) out of Kakuma & supporting them. It costs $2,000/year per child - would you consider a donation for my Dec 18 birthday? Click on the website: handsofhopeforsouthsudan.org & the right corner click 'donate.' I traveled this summer & loved on them, then went into the refugee camp to give encouragement in a very dire situation of little food, shelter & hope; it was very humbling and heartbreaking, yet they maintain great faith in Christ, as do I! May God bless you & keep you - Thank you!

Home to our beloved “lost boys of South Sudan,” as they were dubbed in 1983, has been deluged by TWO YEARS of unrelenting rain- it is unprecedented. This gives way to failed crops, malaria - which results in famine & unclean water. Many have fled to the very refugee camp (Karkuma) where the former lost boys (then 5-10 years old) walked to during the 1983-87 genocide of their villages.

We have teamed with another nonprofit, (also started by a former “lost boy”), “adopting” 4 orphaned children, pulling them out of Karkuma refugee camp, where they have received only one very small “meal” of sorghum & peas a day. Last month we worked with workers on the ground to place these children in a boarding school in Kenya so they will receive an education, housing, & 3 balanced meals a day! If you would like to give ANY amount- 100% of your giving will be used toward these 4 children.

My birthday wish is to keep Garang, Chol, Aker & Lueth (ages 10-13) in this boarding school through age 18. It costs us $125/month per child.

Thank you for considering a donation & for whispering a prayer for our beloved Sudanese children. Merry Christmas & blessings, Deanna, President, Hands of Hope for South Sudan
