Egg Roll Goes Home! This yummy ginger-sweet bully came to us from City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray and was so popular during his time with us! Here he is with forever mama Hailey and grandpawrents Kathleen and Robbie. Hailey recently lost her sweet rottie Titan after a brave battle with cancer and the house was feeling extra quiet. There is no better way to honor those we have loved and lost than by saving another. Between Hailey doting on this little man, having Grampy’s Day Camp sessions every day, and a professional dog walker for a grandmom, this pocket-sized man is soaking up every ounce of attention is a large circle of love, and has made himself right at home. Happy trails to this itty-bitty bully and congratulations to all!

We are happy to announce that we are a 2026 recipient of a grant from the MA “I’m Animal Friendly” license plate program. The funds will be used towards low-cost spay/neuter of local pit bulls – something urgently necessary to reduce the amount of homeless dogs. The “I’m Animal Friendly” license plates are a program of the Massachusetts Animal Coalition. Funds are granted annually to organizations that demonstrate a need for funding and provide low-cost spay/neuter services. As a small rescue, we are forever grateful to receive such a boost to cover such an important expense. Each Spay/Neuter License Plate on the road contributes funding for spay/neuter grants for MA organizations that help animals. Help MAC grow this important funding source.

Meet Brenda from Accounting! This 7-years young beautiful, bean-counting bulldog mix came to us from a good Samaritan who took her in after her owner could no longer care for her and she’s kind of a one-sided balance sheet - alllll assets and no liabilities. Like an account receivable, she is totally outstanding (and then some!). Upon first meet, Brenda is a stereotypical, by-the-book mature pup. Well mannered, low key, friendly, non-destructive, housebroken, and easy-going. But strip back that outer layer and you will see some amazing bully personality shine through! Like “Brenda has a secret life on the weekends” kind of amazing. In fact, she can read right through your BS (balance sheet). Activity level? Hit and miss. She keeps up with the pack if she is walking with her 3 foster siblings. But on her own she is as slow (and sweet!) as molasses. Brenda doesn’t mind working late nights but will always take a lunch break. She loves any and all treats and is always calculating where her next morsel will come from. That stocky body? A perfect figure! And those stand up ears with their own zip code? They are intaxicating! Her pictures do not do her justice – she is the most adorable lowridin’ bully! Brenda is great in the car and happily watches out the window with wide-eyed wonder. Count her in for most adventures! She loves stuffed toys, gives the best gentle love nibbles, and will nonchalantly manhandle your arm to make sure it is enveloping her in a cocoon of snuggle perfection. She loves being with people and part of the action and will follow you anywhere – even the photocopier. Her BFF is a cat, and she excels at napping with him close by. She is just a really well adjusted and terrific dog and is always excited to meet friends – old and new. You think she’s cool now? Wait until you see her spreadsheets! Yabba Dabba Doo…Meet Bam Bam! This 10-years young itty-bitty (yet beefy!) bulldog came to us from Harvard Animal Control after being picked up as a stray and he could seriously be a prehistoric couch potato! We are in love! His #1 priority? He needs his next stop to be his last stop after being failed by humans time and time (and time and time and time and time) again. This amazing dog has had over 6 homes in the last 2 years through no fault of his own. We’ll repeat that…through no fault of his own. Yikes! A huge thank you to animal control for all the sleuthing with his microchip to find out as much as possible about this little bean. We are shaking our heads about the lack of responsibility and empathy in our society, but…onwards and upwards for this brave and resilient lovebug! We promised him…the best is yet to come and there is absolutely NO reason so many irresponsible humans should have given him away. He is spectacular! The name Bam Bam is ironic for such a little and docile guy. He is a petite bulldog at 38 lbs in a compact body. He takes the stairs one at a time (and allows for the executive service of being carried if he doesn’t feel like climbing). He is SOOOOO squishy with soft and floppy neck skin and a nub for a tail! And we love his tan freckles! He allows everything…baths, nail trims, ear cleanings, teeth brushings, cleaning his folds. He may have selective hearing due to his breed, but when he hears the treat jar open, he instantly drops into a “sit” with a pathetic look of expectation. This makes us think he had a loving owner most of his life and was part of a family as a valuable and loved member and that makes us happy. He loves a schedule, his naps, couch snuggles, and (obviously) treats! He is quiet and easy-going but is a total character! He tap dances for food and hot rods in the dirt every time he pees. And now he just needs a forever home and a Bedrock all his own. Have a resident Dino or Baby Puss at home? Bam Bam has been great with all creatures and is living with multiple cats and dogs in his foster home. Bam Bam is just looking for a Barney and Betty all his own. Someone to love him forever and ever after all he has been through. Marty McFly Goes Home! This adorable Frenchie puppy came Back to the Future after a good Samaritan (Trisha Torres with the help of Michaela Masi) stepped up to save him from a life of local backyard breeding and he found his forever in record time. Here he is with forever family Alison, Maddy, and Tom. They have over 20 years of bulldog experience and recently lost their sweet bulldog Rex after a long and brave battle with heart disease. The house felt awfully quiet without the clickity-clack of bulldog paws, and they had just started their search when sweet Marty came across their feed. The rest is history! Marty has made himself right at home with his forever family and is enjoying soaking up love all day long as his mom works from home and 2-legged sister Maddy is home on college break. He will know nothing but love and comfort from this moment on, and we are so excited for him to start his forever. Congratulations to all!

Meet Egg Roll! This 1-year old yummy ginger-sweet bully is packed with flavor and came to us from City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. His specialness is extra special-y. Seriously…he is uber dog- and cat-friendly and shines like a takeout foil wrapper. At 34 lbs, Egg Roll is appetizer size, and due to his current age, he will look like a perpetual puppy and always be able to order off the kids menu. And his golden eyes are deep-fried delicious! This pocket-sized man is a savory study in contracting textures…playful, snuggly, adventurous, social. He is super crispy on the outside (has a particularly fun puppy-like vibe!) while remaining juicy and flavorful on the inside (kind and gentle with a heart of gold!). Egg Roll has the sweetness of duck sauce and is super lovey dovey yet has a dash of chili spice in his extra fun-loving personality. He loves his zoomies, is happily inquisitive, and like the mayor, is exuberantly excited to see anyone and everyone…a true people person. Eggy has been loving the Spring weather and happily wears his hoodie to ward off cooler days. He is content to roll up on the couch to snooze, wrapped up in blankets, of course! He is a young and appropriately playful guy and happens to have some mad athletic skills in small spurts. He has perfected his leaning headstand, ending by flopping onto his person for some love and affection. Loves to stretch his little body as long as possible while laying down (we call it the extended sploot). That’s just how he rolls! Did we mention he is a perfect study in lap-sitting? And he is sooooo itty-bitty, it seems totally normal! In fact, he is our favorite takeout and definitely hits the spot…Chinese please! Thank you to Eileen of E Whalen Designs for showcasing adoptable dogs in need! Eileen and her talented family and friends paint portraits of homeless dogs and hang them in various locations around New England to spread awareness. Grace had a blast painting Mr. Wonderful and Oscar Mayer. These masterpieces are hanging at Old Derby Animal Hospital in Hingham, MA with a brief description of each to raise awareness of dogs in need and help to find forever homes! We are so thankful for our tribe! For more information, or to apply to adopt a deserving dog in need, visit the “Adoptable Dogs” section of our website (link in Comments).

Fat Amy, Now Nala, Goes Home! This young and energetic free-spirit came to us from City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray and was so popular during her time with us! Here she is on adoption day, mastering that competition-worthy head tilt! She joins a family of 5 where everyone adores her and she is queen of the castle. This loving family recently lost their bully at a young age, and the house was feeling awfully quiet without a dog. Nala fixed that instantly by making herself right at home! She has been busy splooting on neighborhood bird watching duty and claiming her favorite spot on the couch. She is already surrounded by love! Happy life to the girl with the fattest heart, and congratulations to all!

Carmela Goes Home! This Olde English Bulldogge came to us from an amazing local family who is selflessly putting Carmela’s needs above their own, and Bada Bing! She found the perfect spot to land for all of her days. Here she is with dad Ross and 2-legged siblings Marin and Henry, while mom, Alison, waits patiently at home. This amazing and loving family lost their rescued Olde English Bulldogge, Millie, a few years back and were patiently waiting to rescue another. Carmela is settling in with her feline siblings and enjoying all the attention she is getting in her new home. And everyone is so relieved that Carmela transitioned from one loving home to another. Happy trails to the girl with the most epic underbite and congratulations to all!
